Beyond Feng Shui: the art of designing sacred space

  • 19 Greek Street London (map)

As the world evolves at a chaotic pace, what will the next level of design look like?

How will spaces shape the course of mankind, and how can each of us be part of this movement?

Feng Shui, the Chinese art of achieving transformation through our homes, has consistently proven that spaces can truly impact every area of our lives. Furthermore, the current explosion of the “wellness” design trend has shown that such ideas are a perfect match for our contemporary context.

While Feng Shui has existed for 4000 years, ancient civilisations have created temples, monuments, and sacred sites which have shaped the course of mankind for almost 20000 years. Interior designers can draw knowledge from their historical design principles to create spaces which can transform peoples lives today.

As society awakens, consciousness and spirituality increasingly integrate our daily experience.
Design can and should support people in their yearning to live richer lives, connect to their highest purpose, reach higher levels of consciousness and impact others as well.

Dubbed ‘the spiritual interior designer’ by Harper’s Bazaar, Marc Peridis is a teacher and mentor who specialises in deeper creativity, connection to purpose, and unlocking sustained prosperity. As an interior designer, his London studio has overseen the completion of over 500 projects for clients such as Vivienne Westwood and Marc Jacobs, from Houston to Shangai, Dubai to Sao Paulo. In 2014, an experience in a temple in Bangkok lead him to be initiated as a shaman and engage on a path to creating spaces that can support our highest development.

In a short period, he has led workshops for businesses including Soho House, Ikea, Gensler and more.
In this 2-hour lecture, he shares an overview of the key transformative principles he teaches to businesses and designers around the world.
